The Ampere Primus electric scooter will be priced at INR 95,000. This scooter will include a 3 kWh battery that provided 120 km on a single charge, based on standard test conditions at ARAI (Indian Driving Cycle).
Ampere Primus Characteristics
The design of the Ampere Primus is a mix of classic and futuristic scooter styles. This electric scooter has no surface features that distinguish it from a non-electric one. Complete with an ergonomic seating position, ample legroom, and 22-liter boot space, this scooter has made no compromises when it comes to rider comfort.
the Ampere Primus electric scooter comes with a 3 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 120 km. Charging time for this vehicle is 4.5 hours with a 15 amp charger and 2.5 hours with a 25 amp charger. The company claims that this scooter can go from 0 to 40 km/h in just about 5 seconds. Capable of reaching a speed of up to 77 km/h with a load of 150 kilograms, this scooter has an efficient performance.
However, the braking system is a drum type, which is below standard considering the price of 95,000. The 12-inch wheel at the front is connected to a telescopic suspension, while the rear features a coil-spring-type suspension that further enhances rider comfort.
The Ampere Primus LCD instrument console that has Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and three driving modes: Eco, City, and Power. What’s notable is the inclusion of a reverse mode that could come in handy while carrying a load in the back seat. While this scooter offers the basic features, there is no mention of features like anti-theft, live tracking, etc.
