Toyota BZ4X Electric Car: Toyota, at Auto Expo 2023, exhibited its first electric car. Now the Toyota BZ4X, which is available in some US states, can be expected to reach the Indian markets soon. During the display at Auto Expo 2023, there were no changes or improvements that could physically differentiate it from the global version.
Toyota BZ4X Electric Car Design
Simply put, the Toyota bZ4X has a futuristic feel while maintaining its classic appearance. As the world moves towards a more minimalist perspective, Toyota has taken the right step and designed the bZ4X with the modern world in mind. The Toyota bZ4X does not include the front grille, which is not necessary as it is an electric vehicle, and removing it gives it a cleaner look.
While not authorized at the Auto Expo, the Indian variant of this car is expected to come in the same 9 color variants as the globally available units. Other than these, the tail light on this car is a single continuous strip of LEDs which is now becoming an industry standard. One out-of-the-box design step that Toyota has taken is that they have moved the charging port from the rear to the front.
Toyota BZ4X Electric Car Range
Internationally, the Toyota bZ4X comes in 2 variants, a single and dual engine variant. Both variants are powered by a 71.4 kWh battery that can be charged with a 120-volt or 240-volt charger installed in the home. The single-engine variant that features front-wheel drive has an expected range of around 400-410km on a single charge, while the twin-engine all-wheel drive variant has a range of around 360km on a single charge. In terms of range, this can be considered a medium range and nothing extraordinary.
Characteristics
Some of the notable features of the Toyota bZ4X include the addition of the e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform (which Toyota claims is helpful in making the overall driving of this car more comfortable), a 12.3 supporting Apple car play and Android auto, the option to get heated seats, wireless charging pads, and keyless entry.
Toyota BZ4X Electric Car Launching Date in India
Unfortunately, there is no information from Toyota about the release of this car. Although they showcased it at the Auto Expo 2023, there is no official statement or plan that this EV will be launched in India.
